Sundays
The walk happens every Sunday morning, whatever the week has been like.
Where and when
- Meet: by the Muizenberg Pavilion, near Surfers' Corner, at 08:30.
- Leave: at 08:45, at an easy pace. Nobody is left behind.
- Arrive: at Kalk Bay harbour by about 10:00.
What to bring
- Comfortable shoes and a hat.
- Water, and a jacket: the wind off False Bay can be cold, even in summer.
- A plan for getting home: Southern Line trains do not normally run on Sundays.
When the sea is rough the coastal path is not safe, and we walk the Main Road pavement instead.
After the walk
The walk ends at the harbour. Everyone finds their own lunch there; the club recommends no particular restaurant.
The Kalk Bay Kreef Crawl is a fictional club, so these Sunday walks do not take place. The route and places are real.
